Wow did not realize it had been so long since my last post

When I looked at my last post I was shocked to see how long ago I wrote it. My live has been so busy, I am still om chemo and my cancer marker is now 4 yes 4 can you believe it . the chemo is really doing its job.Lots of side effects but none that I can not cope with.  I have gone back to work subbing at the high school in the special edd department. I love working there, but I just come home and have to rest even though I find I don't have to rest as much as when I first went back. My dad came over from England for a month, he was over in May but came back in September  spent a few day with Emma in Chicago and at 84 years old went on the ferris wheel in downtown Chicago for the first time in his life. not something I want to do. I hope the next post will not take me so long.

Well this time my chemo made made me very sick, smells did not go well with me nor did food. The Dr gave me a new pill to try and help but I was allergic to it and made me very agitated and  unable to sleep. The next time they are going to try some thing else. I have been up since 1.30 sewing  ready for my next craft fair witch is in December so if this goes on much longer I will have got every thing ready by the end next week.   My mind is at one speed and my body is trying to keep up. One good thing about the chemo is it is starting to bring my cancer marker down again  68 to 38. so that a good thing Will post some of the things I have been making soon. Chemo today

Today is my 3rd dose of chemo only 3 more to go. So my ten day challenge is on hold until  Tuesday and then I will get going again. Have finished Number 1,2,4,6,8 and am half way through geting my 3 dolls done. Everyone have a great week and Happy 4th July

Getting those ten things done

My helper for today as I finished of a quilt top I am making for a wedding gift. His name is Thomas and I think he was saying stop sewing mummy and take some time for me. The quilt top was number 1 on my list so that is done, also number 2 and 8 are finished. so now I have time for Thomas.

Up and dressed and ready to start no.1 on my list of 10 things to do in 10 days. I started this quilt top yesterday but hope to finish today or tomorrow. will post picture when it is done. Also going to cut my squares today and get them ready to send.Thats in between laundry. and anything else I have to do. Well must get going, everyone have a great day.

7. Clean my craft area.
8. Cut fat quarters for craft fair
9. Take the dog to the groomers
10. If I have done all the other nine go out to lunch and relax

back on chemo

Well today was my first day back on chemo. Back in  December after 11 doses for 3 days every 2 weeks they stopped to give my body a rest as one of the drugs gave me an allergic reaction. So the Dr has been keeping an eye on my cancer marker and it started to go up, so back on the chemo I went. This time it's 3 days every 2 weeks but different drugs. So I spent 6 hours at the hospital getting 3 of the 4 drugs and then come home on a pump into the port in my chest until Friday. So far I am hoping those  nasty cancer cells feel as crappy as I do. Oh well as long as it works I will have to put up with it - it will get better in a few days. Back to wearing the wig, or if it is too hot, a bandanna. Oh one good thing I get a cleaning company to clean my house once a month for 4 months. Oh another good thing I will lose weight just in time for my cruise in August!

My deck

. Over the last few months we have been have some work done on our deck to get it ready for when every one came to visit for our 25th forgot to take before but here is after, can you tell i like teapots and teacups I hope toy enjoy my new deck as much as I do.

Silver Wedding Party

May 18th I had been married for 25yrs. All our family came home to be with us, on the Sat we had a party at our house with about 40 of our friends and family and then on the Sunday we were picked up by a limo and taken to Boston to go on a brunch cruise. we only just made it to board the boat as the limo has a blow out on the front tire going at 70miles an hour ( scary) We had to sit in the limo for 45mins until it got fixed.so there was a bit of a panic to if we would board on time or would have to go to McDonalds. Well we made it and had a great time. the food was great and you can tell I love dessert as that is the only picture of the food I took. Some of my family are still here my Mother in law when back to England yesterday, My Dad is here for another 2 weeks , Emma, Joe(my son in law) and Simon Jr went home ofter the cruise Sunday ( the limo took them to the airport). Mark and John are here for the summer and then will go back to Florida to collage . Amy still has a few weeks of school. Today I go back to see my cancer Dr, had a pet scan yesterday and cancer marker taken so will get the results of that. Over the last 5 months of not being on chemo my marker has gone up by 15 points so they might put me back on the chemo in the next few days we will find out today.Here are a few picture of our Sunday day out.

John is my youngest son and he turned 22 last week and I wanted to do some thing different for his birthday. We had all the family in town for our silver wedding party( that will be in the next blog) so I thougth what can I do and then I saw a flyer in the mall at chick fill a about kids birthday parties so I thought let go for it and  guess who comes to the party, you got it the chick fill a cow. when that cow came in and John saw him there was a look of horror on his face and I could tell he was thinking what has Mum done now, I just gave him the look just get over it I am your mother. We had a great time the cow was a hoot it danced around the house with my husband doing the conga. food was good to. so here are a few of the pictures I took, hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed being in them. Amy loved the cow. she had a great time Dancing with it. Mark and John trying to decide if there mother was for real ( hard luck you are stuck with me), The other photos are of my eldest son Simon Jr, My son in law Joe and my daughter Emma. Don't seem to have my husband with the cow but the boys have him on video and keep telling him they will put it on facebook.

I made these bags they seem to go well. As this was the first craft fair I have ever done I had a really nice weekend, meet lots of people. will try and do another one soon.

Craft Fair

Well Sat is my very first craft fair, no not that I have ever been to ,craft fair that I have a booth at. so over the last few weeks my sewing room(basement) has been very busy. lots of sewing, marmalade making(tastes yummy) will take photos when I set up and show you what I have been making, Lots of tea related stuff quilts, bags, teacups, teapots, plates, lace table cloths. So pray the weather stays good not to hot not to cold. Will update as I take photos. Oh and here is the info on where it is.Treasures Antiques,106 route 122 Amherst NH.
Sat and Sun 9 till 5 May 1st and 2nd., Any one who live close by come and see what going on there are 75 booths so lots of things to see.

Well done Amy . Amy is our youngest and has Down Syndrom she is a Jr this year. Last night we went to her school because she got High Honer role and they presented her with a certificate so here she is, she is very pleased with her self and so are we.

I should have done this a few days a go but have been spring cleaning and sewing up a storm . Shannon and I became swap partners in 2009 for a Valentines swap and have become swap buddies ever since so this week she sent me a Easter package. URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

I just had an email asking for prayer for a 19 year old girl named Rebbeca, she was told by her Dr yesterday that there was no more they could do for the cancer that has invaded her body, she is still praying  for God to heal her and I would ask you all to pray for Rebbeca and her family. Thank you

Trip to Target

I have been reading about all the trips you ladys have been taking to Target to buy some of the Liberty of London they have been selling, so today I had to go and see for my self and this is what I came home with an umbrella, two picture frames and a two teir plater for afternoon tea.I also have sent off two parcels for the swaps I signed up for. Both to the UK. Have a great weekend we are going to a family from church tomorrow I am taking crab stuffed mushrooms and a coffee walnut cake YUM YUM .

Finished my new duvet cover

notice the cat got in the picture again, as soon as I put the cover on my bed she jumped up.

I have been looking for a new duvet cover and could not find one I liked so decided to make one out of 9 inch squares and today I finished it. Put it on my bed, what do you think I love it, it was what I was looking for.

Great News

Yesterday I had to see my Dr to check everything was going well and have my blood checked for my cancer marker well I just got the results and Great News it had gone down again it is now 8.1. I have to admit yesterday I was a little stressed in case it had gone up but thank the lord it is still on its way down.
